Miss Hercock agreed. The film said it all she added. She informed the Committee she had nothing to add.

REASON FOR DECISION:

It was admitted and deemed proved.

SUBMISSION FOR PENALTY:

Stipendiary Steward Neil Goodwin informed the Committee that this was Miss Hercock’s 3rd breach of this Rule, the others being at Wellington on 29 May where she incurred a 5 day suspension and at Woodville on 9 September where a 5 day suspension was also imposed.

He added that Miss Hercock was a busy Rider since her return to race riding and initially had problems with the Whip Rule. However over the last few months the Stewards had noticed an improvement. He believed this should be reflected in the penalty.

Miss Hercock had nothing to add.

REASON FOR PENALTY:

A clear breach was admitted.

CONCLUSIONS:

Miss Hercock asked for in the advent of a suspension being imposed for it to begin after racing at Waverly on Sunday the 14th. This was agreed to.

Miss Hercock’s Licence to ride is suspended after racing on Sunday 14 November until the completion of racing on Wednesday 24 November – 5 days. A percentage of her winnings Jockey fee of $150 was also imposed as a fine.
