SUMMARY OF FACTS:

Mr Oatham said Mr Campbell has 2 previous breaches within the last 6 months. The first was on April 13 where he received a 6- day suspension and was fined $600 for 10 strikes in a Listed Race. The second was on June 4 where he was suspended for 5 days. He submitted a penalty in line with the revised Guidelines for a third offence would be appropriate.
REASON FOR PENALTY:
Mr Campbell told the Committee he was conversant with the revised Whip Rule and its Penalty Guidelines that came into force today. He asked to start any suspension after racing at Ashburton on Monday 6th and this was granted. Mr Oatham had calculated Mr Campbell’s share of the stake monies for the Committee to apportion the appropriate fine.
