Mr Oatham said Mr Campbell’s share of the stake monies was $100 and with regard to the Guidelines of imposing 50% of that amount as a fine was inappropriate in this case.

The Stewards’ submission was for a suspension and informed the Committee riders were declared for racing on the 14th of November at Waverley.

Mr Campbell made no submissions on Penalty and asked for a deferment of the impending suspension from after racing at Riccarton on Saturday 13th of November.

REASON FOR PENALTY:

The Committee having regard to the revised Penalty Guidelines and the absence of any aggravating factors considers a 5 National Riding Day suspension as an appropriate Penalty in this case.
