Mr Renault alleged that Mr Barclay (AMERICAN EYRETIME) used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Mr Renault identified the Respondent’s horse on the video and demonstrated that Mr Barclay used the whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. He said there were 4 strikes in a short space of time.
As Mr Barclay has admitted the breach, it is found to be proved.
Mr Renault produced the Respondent’s record. Mr Barclay has had 379 drives this season. Mr Renault sought a fine of $200.
The breach is low-range in that the Respondent has use his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. While there are 4 strikes, these are in quick succession.
Mr Barclay’s record under this Rule shows no breaches these past 12 months.
Mr Barclay is fined the sum of $200.
