ABOUT LAST NIGHT (W Kennedy) – Te Akau Racing Manager Mr. R Trumper advised Stewards, the filly underwent a veterinary examination including x-rays on Monday 18 December which revealed a pulled muscle to the near side shoulder. R Trumper further advised ABOUT LAST NIGHT has now been sent for a spell.

Race 4 J SWAP SPRINT 1400 (G3)
OUR ALLEY CAT (O Bosson) – Trainer Mrs V Prendergast advised Stewards, that on Monday 18 December the mare underwent a veterinary examination which included x-rays with results showing soreness to both hocks, which has now been treated. V Prendergast further advised OUR ALLEY CAT will be sent for a brief freshen up and will then carry on with the mare’s preparation where they may nominate OUR ALLEY CAT for the Westbury Classic at the Auckland Thoroughbred Racing meeting on Saturday 27 January 2024.

Race 8 SKYCITY HAMILTON WAIKATO CUP 2400 (G3)
CANHEROC (J Doyle) – Trainer Mr. C Woods advised Stewards, CANHEROC was examined by the chiropractor on Tuesday 19 December which revealed no abnormalities. C Woods further advised it is his intention to continue on with the gelding’s current preparation and has been nominated to race at the Auckland Thoroughbred Racing meeting on Tuesday 26 December.
