Race 3 TE WHANGAI ROMNEYS HAWKE’S BAY HURDLE (3100m)
BAK DA MASTER (M Roustoby) – Stable representative Miss L Richards advised Stewards, upon return to the stable, BAK DA MASTER, underwent a veterinary examination which revealed the gelding to have slight swelling behind the right fore knee. L Richards further advised the swelling is now being treated with an anti-inflammatory and BAK DA MASTER, will not be partaking in trackwork until the swelling has subsided.
Race 6 JUST A SWAGGER / PERRY MASON STEEPLECHASE (4000m)
WICKLOW (L Douglas) – Trainer Mr W Wheeler advised Stewards; he was satisfied with the post-race condition of the gelding.
Race 7 AHD HAWKE’S BAY STEEPLECHASE (4800m)
IT’S A WONDER (S Phelan) – Trainer Mr H Wilson advised Stewards, IT’S A WONDER, underwent a veterinary examination on Monday 5 July, with no abnormalities being detected, however, H Wilson further advised, IT’S A WONDER, showed signs of lameness on Thursday 8 July, which revealed the gelding to have a stone bruise to the near fore sole. IT’S A WONDER will not partake in trackwork until the stone bruise subsides.
