BOX TRIALS
The trials would be advertised in advance to allow trainers to enter their
greyhounds.
Each trainer would then be allocated a time-slot to bring their dogs to the
track with two or three people from their ‘bubble’.
Dogs would be loaded to the boxes by the trainer’s team, maintaining 2m
spacing from the starter. The training team would then catch the dogs, wash
them down & return them to their trailer.
Once trainer “A” was finished they are to vacate the track. The starter should
disinfect the box door handles allowing trainer “B” to roll up with their
greyhounds.
At regular intervals a break of 10mins would be scheduled, between trainers,
for the curator to groom the track.
Total Club Staff Required on site: 4 (Starter, Lure Driver, Curator,
Administrator – to co-ordinate)
Total Staff Required per Trainer: 2 or 3 (including trainer) (Releaser,
Catcher, Assistant from same bubble)
