Mr Oatham Requested a Ruling that MADURO and NEWSTALK be Declared Non-Runners due to their respective gates not opening.

Film replays were shown and it was very clear that the two outside gates failed to open when the start was made.  As a consequence MADURO and NEWSTALK were prevented from taking any part in the race.

CONCLUSION:

Both MADURO and NEWSTALK were Declared Non-Runners.
