Co-Trainer A Neal advised Stewards on 7 July that CLAUDE had recovered well and had been treated for minor abrasions in preparation for tonight’s racing at Cambridge. Mr. Neal also added the gelding had crossfired after running a quick tempo into the first bend and would derive benefit from the longer trip and switching to a stand at Cambridge.
