Race 4 HYGAIN MAIDEN STAYERS 2200m
ESME (L Alpress) – Stable representative Mr. A Carston reported to Stewards, the stable was satisfied with the post-race condition of the mare, however, has now been sent for a spell.

Race 7 GO RACING BUYING AT KARAKA 2023 1600m
EL TIRADOR (J Laking) – Co-trainer Mrs. K Parson advised Stewards the stable was satisfied with the post-race condition of EL TIRADOR and it is their intention to continue on with the gelding’s current preparation.

Race 8 IDEAL RACING / MY BOY GEORGE MISSING J R 1400m
SOOO DUSTY (K Williams) – Trainer Mr. A Carston reported to Stewards, upon return to the stable the mare underwent a veterinary examination which included blood tests, with results showing no abnormalities. A Carston further advised; SOO DUSTY has been nominated for the Canterbury Jockey Club meeting on Saturday 28 January.
