On 8 June 2022, the Racing Integrity Board brought a charge against a trainer in charge of a greyhound nominated to compete in a race. The charge is failing to present a greyhound free of the category 2 prohibited substance namely methamphetamine, being an offence under the provisions of rule 61.1 of the greyhound rules of racing.
Relating to the same positive test result, the Racing Integrity Board has brought a charge against a person for the time being in charge of a greyhound. The charge is for failing to bring a greyhound onto the racecourse free of a category 2 prohibited substance namely methamphetamine, being an offence under the provisions of rule 61.3 of the greyhound rules of racing.
Both matters are now awaiting a hearing before an RIB Adjudicative Committee at which a determination will be made in relation to details for public release.
