EVIDENCE:

After Race 4 Information A15619 was filed with the Committee.  It was alleged that Ms Grylls used her whip in two consecutive strides on “PRINCIPESSA” over the concluding stages.

Ms Grylls said that she understood the Rule, Charge and confirmed that she admitted the breach.

Ms Algar showed the film replays and identified Ms Grylls striking her mount in two consecutive strides just short of reaching the winning post.

Ms Grylls agreed and said it was a close finish.

DECISION:

As the charge was admitted it was found proved.

SUBMISSION FOR PENALTY:

Ms Grylls had a clear record and Ms Algar referred to the Penalty Guide.

REASON FOR PENALTY:

The Penalty Guide starting point for such a breach is a fine of $150.

CONCLUSION:

Ms B Grylls was fined $150.
