Penalty: Horse 2, K D HAWK (Bob Butt) is relegated from second placing to third place.
EVIDENCE:
The Information alleged that KD HAWK, placed 2nd by the Judge in Race 8 galloped late in the race and was lapped on by TYENE.
Mr Ydgren showed the video of the finish of the race. He identified Mr Butt (KD HAWK) finishing strongly wide on the track and pointed to the horse gallop within 20 metres of the finish. He sought relegation of KD HAWK as it was lapped on by horse Number 4 (TYENE).
REASON FOR DECISION:
The Committee was satisfied KD HAWK had broken from its gait close to the finish and was lapped on by TYENE.
CONCLUSIONS:
The Protest was upheld and KD HAWK is relegated from second place to third place.

3rd 2 KD HAWK
4th 6 ZEALOUS SPUR
5th 1 HIDE N SPEAK
It was ordered that stakes and dividends be paid in accordance with the amended result.
